A Fragmentary Mosaic: Stories

Signum PressChristopher Bartlett
This anthology of original fiction examines life from some decidedly odd angles. A Ten-year-old boy becomes the hero in his own private zombie apocalypse. An attentive but lonely nurse learns what family really means. Estranged family members learn the importance of being shepherded by a very good dog. Christopher Bartlett uses moments in the lives of (mostly) ordinary people as puzzle pieces that together show his sometimes eccentric but always passionately joyful view of life in all its glory and horror. He is inspired by classic anthologies of the time of his coming of age. You will find stories he might submit to the New Yorker or the Pushcart Prize, and stories that would be at home in Analog or The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. All of these stories come out of his experience taking and leading classes in Signum University's Creative Writing sector of the adult education program, which he fervently endorses for anyone who might think they have a story to tell.
