The germ of the idea for this story came to me while I was watching various Youtube personalities lament how hard it was anymore to make a living as a Youtube creator.  I will say that the story made a serious left turn on me part way through.  One of the joys of being a "discovery writer", which is the polite term Brandon Sanderson uses to describe those of us who don't plan every beat in advance, is that stories and characters often assert their own plans at inconvenient moments.  Blame Sara.

A note: this story contains profanity appropriate to the speaking voice of a mid-thirties-year-old man extemporizing on a streaming platform for a large and young audience.  I am of the belief that profanity should be used judiciously, a spice, not a vegetable.  That said, some people really like spicy food, and this narrator is one of them.
