This story has been sitting in my creative oven for about seventeen years.  It has resisted being finished until now, and I'm still not sure it doesn't need a wholesale revision. It is certainly the most controversial thing I'd ever submitted to my writing group, most of whom actively dislike it, though saying kind things to me about it in between the distaste. I still think it's worth you taking a look, and I hope you enjoy its setting and the characters who inhabit it. This story contains adult situations making reference to sex and violence, though in what I hope is a tasteful way.
