There are stories that demand to be written regardless of the effect they might have on their authors. This is one of those. More and more of us are having the experience of watching a loved one disappear slowly before our eyes. Like any other experience with someone we love, it's filled with pain and humor and regrets. Any one of us could be Myra Rosen. Despite everything, I'm glad she got her story out in the world; it would warm her shriveled old heart.
