Galen has updated the document with a translation of chapters (I-VIII) of the prose Völsunga saga which correspond to Völsungs rímur. The translation utilizes the edited text by Sigurdur Nordal and G. Turville-Petre and presented in Robert Finch’s 1965 translation [1]. The translation attempts to present the Old Norse text as faithfully in tone and meaning as possible, while also not preserving any archaisms, rendering more idiomatic phrases into modern English.
