New England Moot 2025's theme was 'mythic resonance.'  In this paper, Steve Melisi's 'Tale of Two Trees' explores the trees that belong to the mortal realm — with both of them growing to represent the people and places where they reside.  As they grow, they become symbols of their people, but also become victims of evil forces and are cut down.  But they are both reborn, thanks to some very heroic deeds.
